The float makes its way past a row of once-thriving local businesses, including Chris’s Billiards, Fryer Studio, and Lord’s Discount Drugs.
Today, only the small building that held Chris’s Billiards remain. Its iconic sign a lasting reminder of downtown’s vibrant past. The neighboring building that housed Fryer’s Photo Studio was tragically lost to a fire, marking the end of an era for that stretch of May Street.
